What to expect: 

Building deep connection in a relationship requires more than just words- connection also happens in the energy exchange between two nervous systems. In this workshop we will go over TRE or Tension Releasing Exercises in pairs with a focus on deepening nervous system attunement between partners. TRE is an evidence based modality which works through tapping into a gentle tremoring mechanism for releasing stress that has been trapped in the body. This technique stimulates our ability to more deeply connect with and attune to the nervous systems of our loved ones. With the practice of witnessing, energy exchange, and cultivating an atmosphere of safety and acceptance, participants will deepen their connection and intimacy with each other. All relationship styles and orientations welcome.

*Some sessions might use strobe lights, some are silent, and yet others are very loud. Step aside if you personally find either of these experiences uncomfortable.

What to bring:Please bring a water bottle, warm socks, yoga mat, writing journal, and pen.
If part of your practice, you may also bring a seat cushion, blanket, and/or mala beads (for self or for exchange) 

Part of our festival’s connection tradition includes exchanging gifts or items that you bring to the festival. (rocks, stones, bead bracelets, etc.)

Experience level: 
All ages, relationship styles, and orientations welcome.

If the session has a theme of silent meditation or sound healing, please help us maintain the quiet atmosphere and decorum. 

Things to consider:
The season is Spring which means the weather is still a bit unpredictable. Please dress in layers.

Please silence your phones at all times and step to the back of the room if you need to engage with it. We would however recommend an unplugged experience if you are able.

The festival brings a multitude of experiences and packs a tight schedule. We encourage you to take breaks as needed. Remember to stay hydrated and please connect with festival volunteers if you have questions.
